How many of you saw the recent David Fincher directed film, The Social Network? I am sure most of you will agree it’s a great film and well deserving of the shed load of awards it’s picking up, not to mention in the running for Oscars.(If it can only escape the shadow of The King’s Speech!)
It was also a fascinating insight into how a simple (but genius) idea can turn into a phenomenon. From just a few hundred members in one university, the Facebook juggernaut now has more than 600 million signed up social network members.
What does the electronic cigarette and Totally Wicked have in common with Facebook? Okay, so Totally Wicked has an increasing number of followers on its own Facebook pages in the UK and US but there is more than that.
The electronic cigarette was born in 2003, Facebook in 2004, and while it’s a little much to expect the same amount of converts, one can’t help noticing just how popular the e cig is becoming, or perhaps has already become, and just like Facebook, it’s been in a movie!
On a Totally Wicked level, I am sure if you were to ask any member of staff who has been on board from the beginning, they will be able to tell you just how much it has grown in such a short space of time.
So, dare to dream, dare to have big ideas, because one day the whole world may want to share it with you.
