This is the 30 Day Challenge – Update!. Research shows that if you can stop smoking for 30 days, you are five times more likely to stay smoke-free for good. We’re challenging smokers to switch to vaping for 30-days and see how they could transform the rest of their lives.
But can you really change a habit, and your life, in 30 days? We’ve been finding out as we embark on our own personal 30-Day Challenges this October… so how have we been getting on?
Amongst our personal challenges, the HQ management team have been collectively walking, running and cycling the length of the UK to raise funds for our partners at Blackburn Youth Zone. We’ve seen some impressive mileage clocked up with park-runs, 50-mile bike rides and daily step challenges. Our team is currently on 454 miles – with a final push of 598 miles to cover in the next 2 weeks, look out for videos on their progress across Instagram and on our 30-Day Challenge Facebook page.
We’ve had some great support from our partners at St Helens RFC, who know all about challenges – after an incredibly difficult 2020, it was great to celebrate with the club as the men’s team were crowned the #ThreePeat champions after another Super League Grand Final win and the women’s team sealed an incredible clean sweep with a monumental treble! Look out for the opportunity to take part in some exciting challenges we’ll be running with the club over the next few weeks.
And finally, our own TW “quitters’ squad” have also made amazing progress, with 6 members of the group who have already managed to stop smoking entirely. Of those that aren’t quite ready yet (and it is so much tougher than anyone that has never been fully “hooked” by smoking can ever believe), all have cut down. In-fact two that smoked quite heavily previously, have cut down by over half, an incredible achievement in itself and a great first step towards quitting.
Liam Humberstone, Technical Director at Totally Wicked has been helping the groups:
“One of the things that has been most impressive is how supportive our quitters have been of one another. It feels like a very special club to be an honorary member of, and makes me incredibly proud to be involved in another, completely different view of Totally Wicked.”
The support of our HQ Shop and Customer Service teams has been invaluable, but hats off to the people that are really making this happen, our colleagues that are making huge strides in quitting for good. We really are so proud of you.
What could you challenge yourself to do in 30 days?
