As a vaper of 5 years, I\u2019ve used all kinds of different devices and have always preferred pen-style kits over other types and was looking forward to giving this one a go. While the draw activation initially felt tighter compared to other kits like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk\/vltz-flex-pro-bar-refillable\">Flex Pro Bar<\/a>, this was easily adjusted using the airflow control on the back of the device. After a few quick adjustments, I soon found a comfortable airflow I was happy with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also gave the button activation a go. Found on the side of the device, it provides another way to enjoy the vape. Pressing the button heats up the vapour, rather than relying on me inhaling on it. I love vapes that offer that added wow factor, as long as it serves a purpose and the Lumina provides just that. It has smart tech built in, in the form of an automatic ohm detection system. When you insert a pod, it automatically figures out the resistance and sets the wattage to the optimal level. This eliminates any guesswork and makes it easy to use, even for beginners who don&#8217;t want to mess with settings. Of course, you can still change the wattage manually if you want, which I&#8217;ll cover in the next section.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Changing Settings On The Lumina<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I mentioned the button for heating up the vapour, but there\u2019s actually a lot more to it. It\u2019s basically a little control centre for the device. To turn it on or off, you just press the button five times quickly. You can also use the button to adjust the wattage settings by pressing it three times while it\u2019s on. I played around with those for a while, before removing and re-inserting the pod to reset it back to optimal settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The button also lets you reset the puff counter. Hold it down for three seconds while the device is off, and it\u2019ll go back to zero. Well, one of my favourite features of the Lumina is the digital screen on the front of the pod kit. The battery life is shown with a mobile-style battery icon and four bars. No more guessing how much battery life is left or wondering if you need to charge before heading out. It&#8217;s nice to have a clear indication of how much power you have left. While charging, the bars flash to indicate the current charge level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The screen also displays the current wattage setting and a puff counter. After each puff, the counter goes up by one, and it resets automatically after reaching 999. Once a puff is added, the screen goes back to showing the wattage and battery life before going into sleep mode until the button is used or you draw on the pen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a digital screen on a vape kit is a welcome addition. While the refillable pod is the same 0.8 ohm as the LX pod included with the device, the Flex Pro pre-filled pods have a 1.2 ohm resistance. You just slide it into the holder, fill it with your favourite e-liquid (I went with my personal favourite, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk\/vltz-e-liquid-lemon-limeade\">VLTZ Lemon Limeade<\/a>), let it sit for three minutes to prime, and it&#8217;s ready to vape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pod is held in place by magnets, so there&#8217;s no need to twist or fiddle with it like some other vape kits. This magnetic system is becoming more common in newer kits and it makes for a better user experience overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To fill the pod, I simply nudged the mouthpiece with my thumb to reveal the fill port. Then, add e-liquid, leaving a 2mm air pocket to prevent flooding the chamber and coil. It&#8217;s a straightforward and efficient process &#8211; even while out walking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Final Thoughts On The Lumina<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>Overall, I was impressed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk\/lumina-kit\">Lumina vape kit<\/a>. Even though I&#8217;m not too familiar with buttons, wattage settings, and airflow adjustment, I found the device easy to adapt to. The digital screen is a real game-changer, and being able to see the battery level with four bars gave me peace of mind.
