As someone who typically edges towards simpler devices like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk\/vltz-flex-pro-bar-refillable\">VLTZ flex Pro Bar<\/a>, stepping into the world of sub-ohm vaping with the Mavro was a bit of a leap. Inside, you&#8217;ll find the Mavro battery with two 0.3ohm pods, a USB-C charging cable, and a user manual. It&#8217;s a complete package, and I was pleased to see that the battery came fully charged and ready for vaping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Holding the Mavro for the first time, I immediately noticed the comfortable synthetic leather grip. The device has a nice light weight to it and is small in size compared to other box mod type vapes. The metal gives it a premium, durable feel, and is available in three colour options: Gunmetal Grey, Rose Gold Pink, and Silver Tweed. This isn&#8217;t a fingerprint reader but a designated area to touch to control the device. A cool design feature is the touch LCD screen. When you insert a pod, the device automatically detects the resistance and sets the wattage to the recommended level. As someone who&#8217;s not always keen on fiddling with settings, I really appreciated this. It takes the guesswork out of finding the optimal setting, especially when trying different pods, as there are alternative resistances available as accessories. Of course, you can still manually adjust the wattage by rapidly pressing the sensor 5 times and using the arrows on the touch screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"button wide\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk\/mavro-kit\"><strong>Shop Mavro<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Using the Mavro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the 0.3ohm pod pre-installed, filled with my go to e-liquid, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk\/vltz-e-liquid-rainbow-burst\">VLTZ<\/a>, and primed for 3 minutes, I took my first puff. The difference in flavour intensity compared to my usual devices was immediately noticeable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>I then started playing around with the airflow adjustment, which is located on the side of the device. It&#8217;s a simple slider that allows you to fine-tune to your preference. I found that opening it up fully provided a nice, airy vape that enhanced the sub-ohm experience. Closing it off a bit gave a tighter, more restricted puff. Resetting the counter is simple: just remove and reinsert the pod three times within 2.5 seconds, and the count will reset to 0. If you get to 999 puffs, it will automatically reset to 0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The smart technology worked perfectly to set the wattage to the recommended setting. I did experiment a little with manual adjustments. 5 quick presses on the touch sensor unlocks the wattage control and two arrows appear on screen to increase or decrease the power. Even though I&#8217;m used to simpler devices, the Mavro was easy enough to get the hang of. Plus, it didn&#8217;t take long to find a wattage (17W with a 0.8hm) that gave me an even better vape.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Battery Life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mavro has an internal 1600mAh battery, which is pretty substantial for a pod device of this size. I was interested to see how it would hold up with the 0.3ohm pod. This naturally uses more power due to the higher wattage. I was pleasantly surprised to find that even with the 0.3ohm pod and the device set to its recommended wattage, the battery lasted me most of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>The LCD screen displays a familiar battery icon, often seen on mobile phones, with five bars, so you always know how much charge you have left. I found this to be much more helpful than the typical LED light indicators on many other devices. While using the 0.3ohm pod does drain the battery faster than the available 0.6ohm or 0.8ohm pods. It easily gets me through a day, but I still like to give it a full charge in the morning. It takes around 50 minutes using the USB-C cable, usually while I&#8217;m getting ready. Checking the battery on the LCD screen is easy, and when I see that top bar lit (80-100%), I know I&#8217;m set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overall Thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk\/mavro-kit\">Mavro pod kit<\/a> has been a pleasant surprise. It&#8217;s a well-designed device that offers a significant step up from basic pod systems without being overly complicated. The smart wattage adjustment is a major plus, making it easy to enjoy optimal performance without much effort. The flavour and vapour production are excellent, the adjustable airflow is a welcome addition, and the battery life is impressive, even with the power-hungry 0.3ohm pod. The LCD screen is another great feature, providing all the information I need at a glance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Would I Recommend the Mavro?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Absolutely. If you&#8217;re a vaper with some experience and are looking to explore sub-ohm vaping or simply want a device with more advanced features, the Mavro is a great choice. It bridges the gap between simplicity and customization, offering a satisfying and flavourful vape. The long battery life and useful features like adjustable airflow and a detailed LCD screen make it a practical and enjoyable device.
