We&#8217;ve covered the full detail in our piece on what VPD actually is, so we won&#8217;t repeat it all here. The short version is that it adds a flat rate charge per ml of liquid, whatever the format, bottle, pod or kit (as long as it contains liquid).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Price Lock commitment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;re committed to keeping our prices as low as possible, for as long as possible. While the new vape tax comes into effect in October, that doesn&#8217;t mean our prices will suddenly change. Most people have never really worked it out, they just reorder when they&#8217;re running low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knowing your own numbers means that whenever prices do eventually shift, for us or anyone else, you&#8217;ll already know roughly what that means for your monthly spend, rather than being caught off guard by it. It&#8217;s budgeting, not stockpiling, and it takes about thirty seconds of actually thinking about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smaller formats, long term<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Worth knowing for the future, even if it&#8217;s not something to act on today. Because VPD is charged per ml rather than per product, formats that use less liquid will usually come out more cost effective once duty applies. Standard 10ml bottles and smaller capacity pods (2ml) generally fall into that category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This isn&#8217;t a nudge to switch anything right now, your prices with us aren&#8217;t moving, so there&#8217;s no rush either way. A lot of the advice circulating right now is built around urgency, buy this much, order in the next few weeks, beat the tax before it&#8217;s too late. Some of it comes from retailers who genuinely haven&#8217;t planned ahead and are using the tax as a reason to push bigger orders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;re not going to do that. If you see messaging elsewhere pushing you toward a big one-off purchase, it&#8217;s worth asking who that actually benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stay in the loop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If there&#8217;s one action worth taking, it&#8217;s this.
