Video: Introducing the Mavro Pro
First impressions
If we're being nitpicky, my first introduction to the Mavro Pro was actually having the box handed to me over my monitor by a coworker. Upon grabbing it, a thought entered my head: 'this thing is light'. When opening the box, I was surprised there was actually a device within it.
Speaking of boxes, this would be a good time to highlight what you get in the kit:
- Mavro Pro battery x1
- Mavro Pro 0.8ohm Pod x2
- USB-C charging cable x1
- User Manual and Warranty Card x1
Holding the Mavro the first time was a treat for the palm. The soft, textured, synthetic leather offers a grippy surface that contrasts in temperature nicely from the rest of the cooler metal body. The device itself is weighty, enough to indicate quality and feel rigid, but not so much as to be unwieldy. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. Considering it's leaning into the box mod style of vape, it's also incredibly compact, not that much larger than standard, slimmer form factor kits.
Getting started with the Mavro Pro
With the Mavro Pro, we've taken it back to basics. The touch sensor has been replaced with a tactile button, which can also spin to adjust power output. We've kept a lot of features that you loved from the Mavro, one of which being the LCD informational display. This is where you can find all the information you'd ever need regarding the status of your device, battery percentage, power output, puff counter, and vape indicator.
With that being said, how do you actually operate the vape?
| Power Button Input | Action |
| Power button 5 times rapidly | Power On |
| Power button 5 times rapidly | Power Off |
| Power button once (or twist) | Display information |
| Power button 4 times rapidly | Power button lock |
Activating the Mavro Pro is simple, you can either use the power button to activate the device, or just inhale on the mouthpiece. So, no matter the style of activation you're used to, this vape caters to all.
One of the smart features of the device is its Smart Wattage feature, when you place a pod into the Mavro, the vape automatically adjusts the wattage based on the resistance of the pod inserted. The same can be said for the Single and Dual modes.
The Mavro Pro features Dual Core technology, meaning the pods contain not one, but two coils. When in Single Mode, the wattage is adjusted so as to not overload the singular coil. However, all limits are off when Dual Mode is enabled.
Dual mesh coil technology
As we've discussed, this device is equipped with Dual coil technology, containing two mesh coils. But what does this actually mean? When the Pro is in Dual Mode, both coils are used to vaporise the e-liquid. Resulting in a more refined, flavourful, airy pull. In Single Mode, only one coil is used, resulting in less overall vapour – but conserves both liquid and battery life.
Another added benefit is essentially halving your resistance, for example: If you have a 0.8ohms pod inserted, it will act more like a 0.4ohms device when in Dual Mode.
Mavro Pro wattage output
| Resistance(ohms) | Device Mode | Recommended Power (W) | Adjustable Power Range (W) |
| 0.5 | Single | 25 | 18-28 |
| 0.5 | Dual | 44 | 38-50 |
| 0.8 | Single | 18 | 11-22 |
| 0.8 | Dual | 28 | 21-31 |
If you're in the habit of swapping pods, for either the flavour variety, resistance, or you're just plain eclectic with your vape. The Mavro Pro features a memory function. Once you've set your preferred wattage, take two consecutive puffs (each lasting over one second) without removing the pod. The device will then store your selected wattage indefinitely.
The Pro also includes three pre-set wattage recommendations, optimized for different resistance levels – If you don't fancy dialling the wattage in yourself.
Using the Mavro Pro
After filling the pod with one of my favourite VLTZ liquids, Blueberry Sour Raspberry, and allowing it to prime for around three minutes, I took my first pull. The flavour was intense, you could taste every note, a symphony of flavour. But the liquid can't take all of the credit, the Mavro Pro's ability to cleanly vaporise the solution plays a crucial role in the orchestra.
The device is equipped with an airflow slider on the right side of the unit. The mechanical slider is firm enough to stay in place when pocketed, yet smooth enough to adjust easily when changing the airflow.
A fully open slider gives a nice, airy vape that works wonders in benefitting the sub-ohm experience. It genuinely feels no different from a standard inhale. Closing the slider off a little gives a tighter, more defined puff. Restricting the air like this could be preferable if you're transitioning to MTL (mouth-to-lung) vaping, or coming directly from cigarettes.

Another useful day to day feature is the puff counter, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. The counter will count up to 999, and then resent to 0. However, if you find yourself wanting to manually reset the counter, you can remove and re-insert the pod 3 times in a 1.5 second window to get the job done.
Getting device information is very intuitive thanks to the LCD screen situated on the front of the battery. Clicking the power button once, or rotating the same button will reveal device information. The screen is bright enough to view in direct sunlight, never leaving you questioning whether your next puff is going to be a hit.
Battery life
The battery life on this device is pretty impressive, with a 1600mAh battery that lasts easily all day in single use mode. Dual mode obviously saps a little more juice (both in terms of liquid and power) but can still run you all day, depending on personal use.
The battery information is displayed on the Digital display, so you always know exactly how much battery you have left. It's broken up into 6 stages (like an old school phone battery) that corresponds to a certain battery percentage:
| Indicator Light | Battery Level |
| 6 Bars | 100-91% |
| 5 Bars | 90-76% |
| 4 Bars | 75-61% |
| 3 Bars | 60-46% |
| 2 Bars | 45-26% |
| 1 Bar | 25-6% |
| 0 Bars | 5-0% |
I found that I was able to get between 1100 – 1400 puffs out of a full battery. Which is more than enough to last me a few days (though I never let it run from full to flat). I generally have the Mavro Pro set on Single mode, but your mileage may vary depending on usage and mode.
Carrying the Mavro Pro
The Mavro Pro is fairly easy to carry around, with it being a hybrid between the box style of vape and the slimline more sleek designs. It fits into any average pocket without too much impedance on daily life. Certainly much less noticeable than carrying around a modern smartphone.
Thanks to its plentiful battery capacity, it feels weighty, but not too heavy. As we know, Totally Wicked products are made with quality in mind, so there's no doubt it could take a few knocks too, if you're on the clumsier side of dexterous. This is not, however, an invitation to start throwing the Mavro Pro around to test its durability.
Overall thoughts
Overall, the Mavro Pro leaves a very strong impression. It manages to blend thoughtful design, smart features, and genuinely impressive performance into a device that feels both refined and approachable. From the intuitive controls to the standout Dual mesh coil technology and reliable battery life, it's clear a lot of care has gone into its development.

Whether you're looking for rich flavour in Dual Mode or a more conservative, all-day setup in Single Mode, the Mavro Pro adapts effortlessly. It's a versatile kit that punches above its weight and comfortably earns its place as a daily driver.
Would I recommend the Mavro Pro?
Yes – without hesitation, I'd recommend the Mavro Pro. It delivers on all the key areas that matter: performance, ease of use, and battery life, while still maintaining a compact and comfortable form factor. The combination of smart wattage adjustment, Duo Core technology, and genuinely useful features like airflow control and wattage memory makes it feel well thought-out rather than overengineered.
