The top tips for stopping your vape coils from burning are priming your atomizer head, vaping like a vaper not a smoker, checking your e-cig settings, choosing the right e-liquid and making sure your vape tank doesn’t run dry.
Have you ever suffered from a constant burnt taste when vaping? Or an atomizer head that just doesn’t seem to last? It can be the bane of a vaper’s life.
Although atomizer heads do have to be replaced eventually, there are some ways to avoid prematurely burning your atomizer.
Let's look at 5 tips to stop your coils burning.

Priming Your Atomizer Head
Often overlooked, priming your atomizer head is a way to prepare the coil and wicking material and ensure it is saturated with e-liquid before you vape.
It is a simple process and can save you burning your coil and wick when you first install your new atomizer.
Simply add a few drops of e-liquid onto the wicking material of your atomizer head before you install it into your tank. Then after filling your tank leave it to soak for 5 - 10 minutes.
Just before you vape your new atomizer head for the first time take a few sharp draws on your tank before you press the button.
Your new atomizer head is now primed and ready to go.

Vape Like a Vaper
Drawing too hard, or not hard enough can cause an issue with atomizer heads. Too hard and your atomizer doesn't have time to draw enough e-liquid into the wicking material, not hard enough and it won't draw any in at all.
The first mistake people usually make is attempting to vape like a smoker. When you puff harder on a cigarette you get more smoke; this does not work when vaping. There is nothing already lit and burning, so your e-cig needs time to produce vapour.
You have to vape like a vaper. Longer, slow and steady puffs make a world of difference.

Check Your E-cig Settings
If you have an e-cig with adjustable settings (Such as the arc GTi or the the arc 5), make sure that they are set correctly for the resistance of the atomizer head installed.
As a general rule the lower the resistance of your coil, the higher the wattage can be. We have a vast array of atomizer heads available so make sure you check out your options.
Choose Your E-liquid Wisely
The PG:VG ratio of your e-liquid can contribute to your atomizer heads life, especially with low resistance atomizers.
Sub-ohm coils heat up much quicker than those with a higher resistance. If your e-liquid has a thinner consistency then the atomizer head can vaporize it too quickly, causing premature burning.
Why not try something with a higher VG ratio such as Diavlo?
On the flip side, if you have a higher resistance coil and you use a thicker e-liquid, it takes longer to heat up and can struggle to wick the thicker e-liquids.
Why not try something with the perfect PG:VG blend of 50:50 such as Red label?
Stay topped up with e-liquid
The most obvious of the tips is don't let your tank run dry, this will stop your coils burning.
It's surprisingly easy to forget to top up, but once you have dry burnt your coil most of the time there is no way back. So keep that e-liquid topped up.
