Are you looking for a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to disposables? Worried that switching from disposables to vape kits will mean more fuss, less flavour? There's no need to worry, because these three Totally Wicked vape kits each provide the perfect solution. They're all refillable, rechargeable, and are perfectly compatible with the intense flavours of VLTZ e-liquids. Yet each of these vape kit has its own unique features to suit your specific vaping requirements.
The beauty of the 'GTL trilogy' of vape kits is the fact that they all use the same pod system, making them cross-compatible with each other. The GTL pod kits are perfect for both experienced vapers and new vapers looking to switch, or disposable vapers looking to upgrade. They all boast the following simple to use features:
- Push fit Atomizer Heads
- Sliding top fill
- GTL Atomizer heads which are suitable with VLTZ e-liquid
The GTL Vape Pod Cartridge
Before we look into each of the three e-cigarette's unique features, let's look at the mainstay of the trilogy. The GTL vape pod, or vape cartridge, as it is sometimes known, is what sets this range apart from others and what makes these devices perfect for disposable vapers.
A vape cartridge, or vape pod, is basically a tank which houses an atomizer head and holds e-liquid. Unlike a traditional vape tank, a pod slots into the vape battery and is held with a magnetic connection. These are now relatively common in the vaping world, but what makes the GTL stand out against the rest?
The Simplicity of GTL Vape Kits
Whether you're looking to switch from cigarettes or upgrade from a disposable, you want the process to be as seamless as possible. Messy refills and difficult atomizer changes are not ideal when transitioning to an e-cigarette. Thankfully, the GTL trilogy has neither of these.
The pod can be refilled in a matter of seconds thanks to sliding top fill. The top cap simply pushes across, you squeeze your e-liquid in and slide the cap back across, it really is as simple as that. You don't even have to take the pod out which makes on the go refills are a breeze.
You can't change the atomizer head in a lot of pod systems, but the GTL pod consists of 2 elements. There's the GTL cartridge, with it's sliding top fill, and a choice of GTL atomizer heads, or "coils".
Changing atomizer heads can be messy but the GTL range of atomizers make the process as clean and easy as possible. They use a push fit connection as opposed to many devices' screw-in fitting. As you probably guessed, you simply pull the atomizer head out and push in a new one. Being easy to use and maintain is one thing, but how do these atomizer heads perform?
GTL Atomizer Head Performance
The GTL atomizer heads are designed for a pure flavour and good lifespan. By life span, we mean the length of vaping time before each atomizer needs changing. There are three resistances available which are 1.2ohm, 0.8ohm or 0.4ohm. Lower resistance atomizer heads are more suited for higher powers and usually result in a larger vapour production. This adds versatility for your personal vaping preferences. Granted, there are many atomizer head ranges which are push fit, have a good lifespan and have various resistance options, so what's so special about these?
The GTL atomizer head range's ability to perform well with sweet, intense e-liquids such as VLTZ is its stand-out feature. Since the rise of disposables, vapers have grown accustomed to strong flavour profiles. While these flavours have helped many switch from cigarettes to vapes, they can have their drawbacks. The main drawback is how these sweet formulations affect atomizer head lifespan.
VLTZ e-liquid is formulated to emulate the sweet flavours experienced in disposables. This helps to bridge the gap between disposable vapes and refillable vapes, encouraging more sustainable vaping choices. While many atomizer head ranges will degrade after just a few ml of VLTZ e-liquid, the GTL range will perform well for at least 10ml of VLTZ e-liquid. That's equivalent to 5 disposable vapes!
Of course, every good pod needs a good vape battery companion. In the GTL Pod's case, it has three. Let's take a look at the GTL trilogy and see which one will be most suitable for you.
- Tornado GTL
- Opal
- Arc Impact
The Tornado GTL Vape Kit
The original member of the trilogy is the Tornado GTL. This is the simplest and cheapest option of the three. It's also the only device in the trilogy which has a vape pen design. There are four colour options available which are blue, black, pink and silver. Beyond the looks, let's take a look at the specification and features of the Tornado GTL.
The battery capacity is 1600mAh. This should last most vapers a full day before it needs recharging. When you do need to recharge you can do so quickly thanks to USB-C quick charging. There are 3 power modes, low, medium and high so you have some versatility to your output level. The airflow is fully adjustable using the ring at the top of the battery.
The Tornado GTL vape can be either button activated or be auto draw activated (when the airflow is more than half way closed). If you're a fan of vape pen style devices, which are very easy to use, then the Tornado GTL is the perfect way for you to enjoy VLTZ e-liquid.
Looking for something with a bit more adjustability? Take a look at the Opal or the arc impact...
Totally Wicked Opal Vape Kits
The Opal is the latest arrival and the most compact of the GTL trilogy. This dinky device is vibrant, light, and simple to use. It weighs just 65 grams and stands 10cm tall. Despite its tiny stature, the Opal squeezes in a surprising amount of useful functionality.
The battery capacity is 1500mAh and the flashing LED colour (when you turn the device on) indicates remaining life. Like the Tornado GTL, the Opal features quick charging technology. This battery capacity is lightly less than the Tornado GTL and the length of time it lasts will depend on your power level. Speaking of power there are 7 levels, going up in 2 or 3 watts increment. This ranges from 10W - 25W, giving the versatility to use the various GTL atomizer head resistances. Your current setting is shown on the front screen and is changed easily using the two buttons.
Unlike the other two trilogy devices, the Opal vape includes a 0.8ohm GTL atomizer head. This will result in slightly more vapour production. However, if you prefer a higher resistance atomizer head, the 1.2 ohm version also works brilliantly. The airflow is adjustable using the lever mechanism at the back of the device. This doesn't provide as much accuracy as the other devices but does give some flexibility.
If you like to keep things compact but want a vape that packs a punch then the opal is the way to go. Now you just need to decide whether to go for Red, Green, Blue or Black.
Arc Impact Vape Kits
Last, but certainly not least, is the arc Impact. The most fully featured, versatile and sturdy member of the GTL vape kit trilogy. This kit certainly looks the part with soft-touch panels, chrome end-caps and tank base, and a clear OLED screen. Choose between aqua green, hot pink, jet black or ocean mist. There's also plenty of substance to go with the Impact's style.
At 2600mAh, the arc Impact has the largest battery capacity of the trilogy by some way. USB-C quick charging is once again featured with this device, keeping down time to a minimum. The power is fully adjustable from 1 - 40 watts, giving the greatest power flexibility of the trio. Current settings including battery life and power level are displayed on the front screen.
The arc Impact battery has a 510 connection with a tank base included for the GTL Pod. This means if you did decide to try out a different tank, you have the versatility to do so. At £44.99 the arc Impact is a little more expensive than the Opal and Tornado GTL, but the investment is worth every penny.
Now you've picked which vape kit to go for, you just need to find your perfect VLTZ e-liquid flavour!
