I felt quite excited when I was asked to write my first review of a product that we sell. I work in product development at Totally Wicked, so I'm really familiar with all the products we bring out. Writing reviews is definitely outside my day-to-day comfort zone, but I was more than happy to give it a go. I have to say, I liked the Joyetech eRoll Slim from the first prototype I tried towards the end of last year. So maybe I'm a good person to talk about its best features.
After testing the final product for 2 weeks, let's run through its appearance, performance, specifications, and features.
Joyetech eRoll Slim Appearance
The eRoll Slim’s design feels smooth and sleek, whether you use it with the portable charging case or not. When using the vape on its own, it's a classic slim pen-style vape, both aesthetically pleasing and easy to hold. When the charging case is connected, it forms a rectangular shape that feels both comfortable and lightweight in the hand.
The handy charging case has a leather-style flap that closes smoothly, and is held shut with magnets. It holds the eRoll Slim device securely in its sturdy metallic finish body.
eRoll Slim Battery & Charging
When you use both the device and its charging case together, they have a total battery capacity of 1980mAh. On its own, the device has a 480mAh battery, and the charging case adds a generous 1500mAh, which is quite a lot of charge.
In my experience, the fully charged device lasted a whole day of vaping without needing a recharge, though I kept the charging case nearby "just in case”. The charging case itself is small enough to easily keep to hand in a small bag, a car, or at your place of work.
The advantages of the portable charging case are plenty. For instance, it can fully charge the eRoll Slim three times before needing a recharge itself. This is perfect for people on the go who like a slim standalone device. You can easily charge it while on the move, and without needing a USB charging point.
Battery level indicator and dual charging options
You can see how much battery is left in the vape pen by looking at the colour of the battery indicator ring. This way, you’ll know when it’s time to charge it again.
Charging the eRoll Slim is a quick and effortless experience You can charge both the case and the device together or separately. The vape can also be used while on-charge. So, if you ever find vape pen battery is dead, just attach it to the charging case, and you can start vaping again almost instantly - genius!
The charging case itself also has some smart features which certainly come in handy. My personal favourite was the touch-activated battery-level display. Smart Vibration Alerts also let you know when the device is attached to the case or plugged into a USB charger. So, you know when it’s charging. Pretty cool if you ask me!
Power & Output From the Joyetech eRoll Slim
Despite the small size of the eRoll Slim, it didn’t disappoint me! Capable of providing up to 13W power output, for me it strikes a perfect balance between MTL vapour production and intense flavour. I found I could count on a smooth and consistent vaping experience. The cartridges were simple to refill, and fitted into the device with ease.
A Value For Money Vape Kit
The Joyetech eRoll Slim kit truly offers the best of all worlds. With an impressive battery life of just under 2000mAh for just £32.99, it’s a rarity in the current market. The many features mentioned show how capable this kit is, making it one of the most versatile choices available today. I think it’s a great option for people who like traditional e-cigarettes, but still want good battery life, great flavour, and style.
