As you may have guessed, the Elf Bar V2 is the successor to the incredibly popular Elf Bar. The Elf Bar 600 was one of the early disposable products which marked the resurgence of this convenient style of vaping device. Look and Feel of the Elf Bar 600 V2
As the saying goes, if it's not broken, don't try and fix it. The Elf bar V2 retains the sleek, pen-style shape. The battery is housed by a cylindrical tube and I was delighted to see that the 'whistle' style mouthpiece remained on top. This mouthpiece is slightly wider than the original, which feels more comfortable when vaping. The height, weight, and diameter are all incredibly similar to the original Elf Bar, meaning it's light and slim as you would expect from a disposable vape.
The finish of this vape is what makes it stands out from its predecessor. The metallic, gradient finish across each of the flavours adds a touch of class. Giving a premium feel, these outer wraps make the Elf Bar V2 instantly distinguishable from the original. Finally, these new versions have a slightly rounded bottom edge but worry not, they still stand upright with no issue.
The packaging follows a similar style. However, some of the flavours have new associated colourways so be careful to choose the right one. All in all, the appearance of the V2 is a plus for me. There are subtle enhancements to the original but no unnecessary changes or gimmicks which is good to see.
How Many Elf Bar V2 Flavours Are There?
The 600 V2 will be available in 28 flavours in total, with the different flavours being released gradually over the coming weeks. The V2 follows in the footsteps of the original with directly comparable flavours but further flavours will be released in the near future matching up to the full complement of Elf Bar flavours. Check out the full list of current flavours which features favourites like Blue Razz Lemonade and Cherry Cola. Remember, the associated colour ways of the devices and packages may have changed, and there are a couple of name changes.
In my opinion, the variety of Elf Bar V2 flavours is plentiful. More flavours can only be a good thing, as long as the quality remains at the highest level. While the flavours themselves may be the same as Elf Bar, the experience is different...
Flavour Performance
The flavour from the 600 V2 is sweet, powerful, and intense. If you like strong, sweet favours then you're in for a treat. In comparison to the original, I find the flavour much more vivid. Whilst I'm a fan of this sweet flavour profile, some may find it a little overpowering. If you are used to a more subtle vape flavour, this product may not be for you.
So, how has Elf Bar created such a strong flavour representation? The answer lies within the coil. The new mesh coil uses 'QUAQ' technology. In short, this new technology provides outstanding flavour due to the mesh material and the coil structure, but does it compromise on vapour production or battery life?
How Long Does the Elf Bar V2 Last?
The life span of a disposable is of course one of the most important factors for a disposable vaper. Disposable vapes have a maximum e-liquid capacity of 2ml, so you may therefore be thinking they should all last the same amount of time. Well broadly speaking they should but other variables can have a bearing, such as the coil type, power output, and battery capacity.
With this in mind, how was this new vape’s longevity, and how does it size up against other disposables? I would describe it as surprisingly good. Given the 600 V2 has a 360mAh battery, it was refreshing that the device lasted me almost a day. The supplier suggests a 600 puff count. Granted, a time frame, or indeed a puff count are not great measurements for longevity as these are affected by the vaping style of the user. However, sized up against an Elf Bar, the V2 lasted at least as long in my experience.
Is the Elf Bar V2 Good Value for Money?
When compared with vape kits, disposables are always going to work out more expensive in the long run, but in comparison with other disposables, this vape is good value for money. At Totally Wicked, the V2 retails at £4.99 a unit, or cheaper when you make the most of multipacks or subscriptions. This is in line with other disposable vapes but given the high performance of the V2, it's very good value.
