VIDEO: Introducing the Aeromax
First Impressions
Unboxing the Aeromax, I was immediately struck by its sleek design. It’s a slim device, but it has a nice weight to it, giving it a premium feel. The package includes the Aeromax battery, two 0.8ohm pods, a USB-C charging cable, and a user manual. It’s a complete kit, and I appreciated that it came with an extra pod. The device itself is available in three colours: Black, Green-blue gradient, and a Purple gradient. I opted for the Black, which has a classic, understated look.
Getting Started with the Aeromax
The Aeromax is a refillable pod system, which means you can use it with your favourite e-liquids including Red Label and VLTZ. Filling the pod is straightforward. You don’t even need to remove it from the device. Just open the filling port on the side of the mouthpiece (indicated by an arrow), fill it with e-liquid, leaving a small air gap, and close the port. It’s recommended to let the pod sit for about 5 minutes after filling to ensure the atomizer head is fully saturated. This prevents dry hits and ensures the best flavour production.
The Aeromax features a multi-function power button, which I found very intuitive. Five quick clicks turned it on or off. Once on, I experimented with both vaping methods: pressing and holding the button while inhaling, and simply inhaling on the mouthpiece for draw-activation. Both worked flawlessly. I found that three clicks allowed me to easily adjust the wattage, while four clicks locked the button. This locking feature is ideal for someone like me who prefers draw-activation, as it prevents accidental firing in my pocket. I also appreciated that the device could remember my preferred wattage setting for different pods, which is a great time-saver.
How to Use The Aeromax Button
Button Presses | Action |
5 Rapid Clicks | Power On/Off |
Press and Hold | Vape (Button Activated) |
3 Rapid Clicks | Wattage Adjustment |
4 Rapid Clicks | Power Button Lock/Unlock |
Press and hold during 3 consecutive puffs (over 1 second) | Memorise Wattage Setting |
Getting to Know the Aeromax Features
The Aeromax has a few features that enhance the vaping experience:
- Power Button Lock: To prevent accidental firing, you can lock the power button by pressing it four times quickly. A lock symbol appears on the screen. Repeat the process to unlock.
- Adjustable Airflow: There’s a slider on the side of the device that lets you adjust the airflow. Fully open provides an airier vape, while fully closed offers a tighter draw. I enjoyed experimenting with different settings to find my preferred airflow.
- Adjustable Power: The Aeromax allows you to adjust the wattage from 6 to 40W. However, the selectable power range is limited based on the pod’s resistance. Three quick presses of the power button make the wattage symbol flash, and then you can adjust it using the same button.
- Memory Function: Once you’ve found your preferred wattage, you can vape three times consecutively with a puff duration above 1 second (without removing the pod), and the device will remember that setting. It can store up to three different wattages for different resistance pods, and you can set each one individually.

Using the Aeromax
Using the 0.8ohm pod with my usual VLTZ e-liquid, I took my first puff after letting it prime. The flavour was good, accurately representing the e-liquid. Vapour production was typical for a 0.8ohm pod, with a decent throat hit. I adjusted the airflow to my preference, which improved the flavour. The automatic wattage set itself to 15W, as recommended, nicely indicated by a single flame icon on the screen. These visuals correspond to the 0.8ohm pod, with two flames representing the 0.6ohm pod and three flames indicating the 0.4ohm pod’s higher wattage.
Aeromax Battery
The Aeromax has an 1100mAh battery, which is decent for a device of this size. With the 0.8ohm pod and the wattage set to the recommended level, the battery lasted me most of the day. The screen displays the battery level with a four-bar indicator, so you always know how much charge you have left. The device charges via USB-C, and it takes around an hour to fully charge from empty.
Overall Thoughts
The Totally Wicked Aeromax is a well-designed pod kit that delivers excellent flavour and a great MTL vaping experience. The automatic wattage feature, adjustable airflow, and memory function add to its appeal, making it a worthwhile pod kit for both beginners and experienced vapers. The build quality is solid, and the device feels comfortable in hand. The only negative is that the battery might not last a full day for heavy vapers.
Would I Recommend the Aeromax?
I would absolutely recommend the Aeromax. If you’re looking for a reliable, flavourful, and easy-to-use pod kit, it is a great option. It’s a perfect upgrade for those who are currently using refillable pods and want a device with more features and customization options. The Aeromax’s performance, combined with its sleek design and easy to use features, makes it a worthwhile purchase for any vaper.
