"The perfect upgrade if you're looking for a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to disposables whether you prefer refillable or pre-filled pods."
VLTZ flex Pro Bar Video
I have been using the VLTZ flex Pro Bar for a 2- 3 month period now, which in itself shows how much appreciation I have for this vape as my testing period usually lasts a couple of weeks. I've been using it alongside the flex Pro Box which forms part of the flex Pro family. For this review, I'll be focusing on the flex Pro Bar but if you prefer a box-style vape then be sure to check out the VLTZ flex Pro Box review.
Look & Feel of the VLTZ flex Pro Bar
There isn't really anything to dislike about the design of the flex Pro Bar, but there is a whole lot to like about it. It's sleek, lightweight and compact enough to easily fit in your pocket. The metallic finish gives this vape a real glint when it catches the light, particularly in the gradient colour options – Electric Fuchsia, Blue Horizon and Blue Galaxy. There is also the classic Onyx option, if you prefer a more refined finish.
This bar / pen-style design has always been a desirable shape for an e-cigarette and remains very popular. Granted, box-style vapes have continued to grow in popularity but for me the traditional pen-style design will never fade. In all honesty, I'm generally happy with either shape, as long as its compact and lightweight. The good news is, if you prefer a box-style shape, the VLTZ flex Pro Box is also available and operates in a very similar way to the Pro Bar.
VLTZ flex Pro pods - Pre-filled or Refillable... You Decide
Now on to the fun bit, the flex Pro Bar's pods, and the ultimate versatility that they provide. The pods come either pre-filled with VLTZ e-liquid, or empty, so you can refill them yourself. I've always been a vaper who prefers to refill with e-liquid, mainly due to the associated cost-savings. However, I was more than willing to try also try a few pre-filled pods, and I'm sure glad I did. Before I cover the benefits of each pod type, the similarity of both is that they both provide a strong intense flavour experience thanks to VLTZ E-liquid.
VLTZ Pre-filled pods
The beauty of pre-filled pods is that you don't have to worry about topping up with e-liquid. Once the e-liquid within the pod runs out, you simply dispose of it and put a new one in. The e-liquid in these pods is VLTZ e-liquid, which has a 1.6% nicotine strength and is made right here in the UK. I've always tended to use refillable vapes as I'm pretty comfortable with refilling and remembering to stay topped up. However, if you'd rather remove all the hassle, these pre-filled pods are a great stress-free option. The coil within the pre-filled pod has a 1.2ohm resistance which provides a smooth draw, great flavour, and means the battery life is exceptional.

VLTZ Refillable pod
Using a refillable pod is the way to go if you want to keep costs down while enjoying the same great flavour. I found the refilling mechanism really easy – just a simple rubber bung at the side. The pods' magnetic connection was nice and strong so I didn't have to worry about them falling out of the battery. The coil within the pod has a 0.8ohm resistance which resulted in an outstanding flavour experience and really good vapour production. The coil is fixed into the pod, so there's no need for messy atomizer changes. Once it needs replacing, just change the whole pod. I was particularly impressed with the lifespan of these pods. I had used more than 3 bottles of VLTZ Rainbow Burst before I put in a new pod!

How Does the VLTZ flex Pro Bar Battery Perform?
For such a small-sized battery, I was really impressed with the battery life of the flex Pro Bar. The capacity is 900mAh which comfortably lasted me a day between charges. That's a win in my book, but what makes it even better, is the fact it has USB-C-charging. I was back to full charge in less than 1 hour and I could even use the device whilst on charge thanks to passthrough functionality.
Another great function of the flex Pro bar is its battery indicator. There's nothing worse than being out and about and your vape battery dying without any prior warning. The simple 3-level LED system illuminates 3 lights for 60% + remaining battery, two lights for 20 - 59% remaining battery and one light for less than 20% remaining battery.
Constant voltage
The final, and potentially most important battery feature is its output mode. The VLTZ flex Pro Bar uses constant voltage output. This basically means that the output power is regulated to the same level throughout, regardless of the battery level. In terms of experience, constant voltage results in an incredibly consistent vape. Many pre-filled pod systems and some disposable vapes use direct output which means the output, and therefore the flavour, reduces as the battery level depletes. This doesn't happen with the flex Pro Bar and the last puff before the battery runs out will be just as strong as the first puff after recharging.
Do its Features Make the VLTZ flex Pro Bar Simple to Use?
Whether you opt for pre-filled pods or refillable pods, the flex Pro Bar is incredibly simple to use. There are no settings to adjust and no buttons to press as the Pro Bar features auto-draw. Simply inhale on the mouthpiece to activate the kit.
The pre-filled pods are of course incredibly easy to use, as all you have to do is open the packaging, slot it into the battery and away you go. The only added level of complexity of the refillable pods compared with re-filled is remembering to keep them topped up with e-liquid, as the coils are fixed.
Is the VLTZ flex Pro Bar Good Value for Money?
The VLTZ flex Pro Bar is outstanding value for money, whether you're comparing this product with disposable vapes, cigarettes or other reusable vape products. The flex Pro Bar battery can be picked up for just £8.99 with a pre-filled pod, or £10.99 with a refillable pod and 10ml e-liquid.
Pre-filled pods contain the same amount of e-liquid as disposable vapes but cost just £2.99 each, or even less when making the most of multi-buy offers. The refillable pods cost £2.99 each and should last for at least 20ml of VLTZ e-liquid before they need changing. This is an ongoing saving of more than 70%* compared with using disposable vapes.
Whilst there are indeed other pre-filled pod batteries at a slightly lower price point, the other products are not packed with the features of the flex Pro Bar. In my opinion it's definitely worth spending an extra £2 or £3 initially to get a battery with a large capacity and key features like constant voltage and a battery indicator. These are all features I would expect from a £20 – £30 vape so to see them on a sub-£10 one is astounding.
The VLTZ flex Pro Bar really does sit at the top of its category as a high-performance starter kit. It's the perfect upgrade if you're looking for a sustainable, cost-effective alternative to disposables whether you prefer refillable or pre-filled pods.
*Saving is based on using 2 bottles of e-liquid @ £4.99 for every refillable pod @ £2.99, compared with 2ml disposable vapes @ £4.99 each. Does not include the initial cost of the battery.
