Disposables – What Are They
Single use vapes, or disposables, are intended to be used a single time. Initially these types of devices were capable of producing up to 600 puffs before needing to be disposed of correctly. More recently, IVG, based in Preston, UK, launched the IVG 2400 with four included flavoured pods. Each Pod can provide up to 600 puffs making the device total to roughly 2400 puffs.
Disposable vapes produce great flavour production and e-liquids such as VLTZ bar salts, capture the same flavour profiles perfectly. Devices such as the Elf Bar 600 V2, house QUAQ mesh coil technology that enhances the flavour production.
Disposable Vape Ban
The ban on disposable vapes In England will be coming in 2025, with the date widely expected to be on 1 June 2025[i]. The reason for the ban derives from the impact these devices have on the environment, with some vapers even opting to flush them down the toilet. However, the ban isn’t quite here yet and Totally Wicked still has a large selection of disposable vapes to choose from with over 220 different flavours across five single use kits.

In order to find the best disposables currently available I dug into the data behind our sales online and in-store over a 12-month period[ii].
Lost Mary BM600
The original Lost Mary disposable launched in 2022 and quickly became a success. As of October 2024, there are 29 flavours to choose from, ranging from the hugely popular tropical flavoured Pineapple Ice to the tart and zingy Blueberry Sour Raspberry. The chamber is pre-filled with nicotine salts and 20mg/ml nicotine strength. The device houses a small 360mAh non rechargeable battery which lasts for up to 600 puffs depending on usage. The outer shell is small and fits easily into the palm of your hand. The Lost Mary BM600 is available in different colours depending on your chosen flavour.
Elf Bar 600 V2
Elf Bar 600 V2 is the upgraded version of the Elf Bar 600. This disposable is cylinder shaped and provides vapers with a similar experience expected from traditional cigarettes. When it comes to flavour choice, you’re never short of options, with 28 to choose from. It’s worth noting that the Elf Bar 600 V2 has built in QUAQ mesh coil technology that brings out the best of the flavour from start to finish. This tech is also known to reduce e-liquid waste, effectively prolonging the disposable vape's life.
Elf Bar 600
Elf Bar 600 has been a popular disposable for the past 3 years. Initially launching in 2021, the flavour list has grown rapidly with a total of 32 flavours now available to choose from. Some of the more popular flavours include the traditional cigarette alternative Snoow Tobacco and a taste commonly found in a fizzy drink – Cherry Cola. These pen shaped vapes are pre-filled with nic salts and available in 2.0% (20mg/ml) nicotine strength which is great for smokers looking to quit with the aid of vapes. It's a non-rechargeable vape with a relatively small built-in battery of 550mAh, which is more than capable of lasting for up to 600 puffs.
BM600S
Much like the Elf Bar V2, the Lost Mary BM600S is an upgraded version of its predecessor – the Lost Mary BM600. The biggest difference is the QUAQ mesh coil technology that improves flavour production and a reduction in nic salt wastage. The choice of flavours is considerably less than the BM600 with only eight to choose from. These include the zing and zang of Lemon Lime and multitude of berry tastes with Berry Combos. Similar to a majority of single use devices, the BM600S is non rechargeable. The empty device should be disposed of correctly once the e-liquid chamber is empty or the battery has depleted.
IVG 2400
The IVG 2400 is considered a "big puff" device and introduced us to the 4 in1 vape trend. This disposable houses a large 1750mAh battery (over 3 times larger than the Elf Bar 600) and can easily last through all four included pods. The battery isn’t rechargeable and like any other disposable, must be disposed of correctly. The IVG 2400 4 in 1 is available in 13 multi-flavour "Editions" with each kit having four different flavoured pods. Alternatively, there are also two single flavour editions – Fizzy Cherry and Pineapple Ice. This IVG pod kit can produce up to 2400 puffs.

Lost Mary BM6000
The BM6000 is another big puff vape that has proven popular. Rather than being a 4 in 1 device, it uses a 10ml attachable bottle of e-liquid and a prefilled 2ml reservoir to provide up to 6000 puffs. Now that is a lot of puffs! The provided container can refill the reservoir up to five times and once completely used can be recycled. Although there aren’t BM6000 refills available separately to use with the battery, you simply purchase a complete kit each time you finish one. There’s over 30 flavours to choose from including Pineapple Ice, Menthol, and Double Apple.
Best Alternatives to Disposables Vapes
As mentioned earlier, disposable vapes are likely being banned next year, and if you haven’t already considered it, now may be a good time to find an alternative. If you originally opted for single use vapes to help quit cigarettes, you may not be ready for some of the more advanced vape kits. The following best disposable alternatives utilise pods with pre-fixed coils, are fully rechargeable and some can be filled with popular Red label and VLTZ bar salts e-liquids.
VLTZ flex Pro Bar
The VLTZ flex Pro Bar hit the Totally Wicked shelves (and online store) this March. It’s highly regarded as the perfect vape to transition away from disposables and it’s easy to see why. Firstly, in use, it resembles devices such as the Elf Bar and Lost Mary, thanks to being draw activated (mouth-to-lung). The refillable aspect of this kit allows you to make the most of our range of e-liquid flavours, including the intense profiles of VLTZ. The 900mAh battery lasts most vapers for a full day before needing to be recharged – this equates up to around two refills or 4ml of e-liquid. The battery also delivers "constant voltage". This smart feature keeps the flavour consistent from fully charged to empty. The flex pro Bar is compatible with both the refillable and pre-filled VLTZ flex Pro Pods.
VLTZ flex Pro Box
Next up is the flex Pro Box. This small box shaped vape kit has a similar feel to the Lost Mary BM600, but with a few bonus additions. Firstly, you can use both pre-filled and refillable pods with this kit giving you more flavour options. On the side of the box is an easy airflow switch giving you more customisation over your vaping experience. The rechargeable battery is slightly larger than the flex Pro Bar at a respectable 1000mAh and lasts just a little longer.
VLTZ-X Spin
The Totally Wicked improved version of the IVG 2400 – VLTZ X Spin 4 in 1. This little powerhouse can produce up to 4000 puffs, 1000 per pod, and is rechargeable. You can choose from 12 intense flavours in packs of two, including Blueberry Sour Raspberry and Blueberry Splash. What makes these types of kits popular is the ease in which you can change flavour. Simply rotating the pod chamber and letting it click into place, provides a new flavour experience. To change pods, just nudging the mouth piece with your thumb then removing and replacing the old pods makes this device perfect for vaping on the go. The 600mAh rechargeable battery also uses constant voltage - meaning great flavour throughout.
Lumina Vape kit
If you’re looking to take bigger steps with more customisation, then the Totally Wicked Lumina Kit could be just for you. This vape kit offers the best of both worlds for both draw and button activated vaping. Another cool feature is the smart technology that auto-detects the pod resistance and sets the recommended wattage settings. Tornado GTL
The last on the list of best disposable vape alternatives is the Tornado GTL. This device has multiple features including three power settings (low, Medium and High). The GTL cartridge is compatible with a large range of atomizer head resistances, ranging from 0.2 – 3.0ohm. You also have the option of three battery colours including: Blue, Pink and Silver. The 1600mAh battery is around the same as the IVG 2400 but this kit gives you a lot more customisation, especially when it comes to flavour choices. And of course, unlike the IVG 2400, the battery is rechargeable. You can pair this kit with most e-liquids available at Totally Wicked, including Red label, VLTZ bar salts and Titan.
Whether you’re thinking of switching or waiting a little longer, it’s always good to know there are better options. The disposable vape ban is likely to come in the first half of 2025.
